b'Message from the SuperintendentAt the heart of our 2019-2023 Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) is a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and anti-racism. As we take stock of our accomplishments and envision a plan for the next four years, this publication serves both objectives. It tells the story of DEI and anti-racism in the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) as witnessed and shared by members of our community. These stories reflect the culture we are all responsible for nurturing. These reflections should embolden us to be audacious in the priorities we will set for the next four years.The publication also introduces our small but mighty DEI and Anti-Racism Services Leadership Team. This teams role is to support staff in strengthening their collective efficaciousness in amplifying equity and inclusion in the 40 school communities they serve. As is evident in the pages ahead, strengthening our collective efficacy as a staff requires us to co-create a culture of equity and inclusion with the students and families we serve. Finally, I see this publication as the start of an annual DEI and anti-racism accountability reporting commitment to measure efforts to address disparities relative to students achievement and well-being review policies, protocols, programs, curricula, and practicesamplify employment equity effortsI look forward to continuing to share LRSDs progress and commitment to DEI and anti-racism.
